Nota Medica enables health care professionals to follow their personalized predefined list of procedures and in doing so they create patient specific medical notes. The processes of care are described by relevant time, sequence and source of information. This feature supports integrated performance management and continuous quality improvement objectives. Nota Medica carries the potential to facilitate integration of clinical encounter information with administrative, cost and claims data thus providing up-to-date patient history and internal guidelines at the time and point of care. Additional information such as laboratory and PBM data can also be imported and integrated to streamline care management. All of these data will be accessible for predefined and ad hoc analysis using any and as much of the information as the user requires.

Unlike competing products, Nota Medica is NOT a template driven database application. The key is that the INPUT is flexible and modifiable based on user requirements and process. Nota Medica provides the content developed by domain experts without engineering support. Modifications are instantaneous, auditable and immediately available as search criteria. Nota Medica is simple enough to operate in any type or size of practice. The system supports digital information to and from other applications or databases through standard XML protocols resulting in a fully integrated patient care record.
