Outcomes 3 for the STS National Adult Cardiac Surgery Registry

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) maintains the world's largest registry and benchmark program for cardiac surgery. The STS National Cardiac Surgery Registry allows cardiac surgery programs to collect, analyze, and semiannually compare clinical results with national and regional results.

Outcomes 3 for Vascular Surgery

The Outcomes 3 Vascular Surgery dataset, designed in collaboration with Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, meets the needs of programs that choose to measure clinical outcomes in vascular surgery.

Outcomes 3 for General Thoracic Surgery

The Outcomes 3 Thoracic dataset allows institutions to collect general thoracic surgery data, to monitor all of their general thoracic surgery cases, and to use a collection of tools for data aggregation and analysis based upon standard data elements and associated definitions.

The Virginia Cardiac Surgery Quality Initiative (VCSQI) Clinical and Financial Information System

ARMUS Corporation populated its Outcomes clinical database management system with more then 20,000 records for 2001-2004 from 14 hospitals and 50 surgeons. Members submit patient data for all adult cardiac surgeries semi-annually to the web-based system. Clinical data from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery database are mapped with financial data from standardized hospital UB-92 files. Ratios of cost-to-charges are used to normalize charges. An Application Library, 2003 Chart Book , Technical Manual, and Data Quality Assurance Guide have been developed.
