Position Requirements

Licensed RN or LPN, or substantial cardiovascular clinical data management experience preferred.

Three or more years in cardiovascular clinical data management preferred.

Experience communicating with physicians and hospital management preferred.

Strong computer skills including use of abstraction tools, word processing, spreadsheet, email systems and the capability to learn other computer programs, such as new database programs and ticketing systems.

General Description
The “CARDIOVASCULAR ABSTRACTOR “will draw upon his or her clinical area of expertise to work with the “Clinical Services Director” and “Senior Cardiovascular Data Manager Specialist” in order to provide Abstraction for ARMUS clients contracted for Data Management Services. Top priorities shall be:

Abstraction of Cardiovascular data including ACC and STS Registry data, inclusive of remotely accessing electronic medical records.

Data Entry, Data Quality review and audits of abstracted data.
Professional Characteristics and Degree of Supervision Required
The individual will provide direction in the integration of nursing and information science for the purpose of continual quality and process improvement. The individual should be familiar with clinical applications and have previous work experience in a health care setting. The individual should be highly analytical and able to convey complex medical or technological terminology to health care professionals, both technical and nontechnical as well as ARMUS team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Minimal supervision is required as individual proceeds on their own initiative, in compliance with job description, as well as policies, procedures and practices of the company. The position reports directly to the “Clinical Services Director” and confers with the “Senior Cardiovascular Data Manager Specialist” regarding assignments.
Responsibilities
-
Adhere to all company policies, as well as HIPPA regulations and guidelines as directed by the Company Privacy Officer. This includes, but is not limited to the confidentiality of the abstracted data.

Abstraction of Cardiovascular data including ACC and STS Registry related data, inclusive of remotely accessing electronic medical records. The abstractor will:

Receive case lists to be abstracted via a secure download,
-
Be given secure access to ARMUS applications and Hospital Applications for the hospital and registry or registries that he/she will be abstracting for.

Communicate the number of completed cases, at least weekly, to the “Senior Cardiovascular Data Manager Specialist”.

Data Entry, Data Quality review and audits of abstracted data.
-
Complete data entry of abstracted data.
-
Review data quality and completeness.
-
Review results of data audits completed “Senior Cardiovascular Data Manager Specialist”, which maintains a goal of 97% or higher accuracy.

Carry out registry submissions of abstracted Cardiovascular data (as requested).

Professional Services Specialist
Position Overview
The Professional Services Specialist is a member of the Customer Service and Professional Services (CSPS) team. She/He will primarily support implementation and use of ARMUS Products and Services, facilitate the resolution of technical support issues, and collaborate on new and existing product deployments. The purpose of this position is to bring technical expertise to a non-technical, and mostly clinical, customer base. As she/he will be working in production systems, excellent discipline and engineering practices, and the ability to adhere to defined processes, are required.
Responsibilities
-
Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement, including but not limited to customer satisfaction, efficiency of processes, and productivity, updating documentation as requested and identification of common manual processes to be automated.

Develop an understanding of currently supported products and how customers use them.

Carry out new client services rollouts and updates, while ensuring a positive client experience, as well as effective and efficient utilization of company resources. To include:

Client configuration including related user account creation
-
Data migrations to ARMUS products from legacy or competing vendors
-
Product customizations
-
Hemodynamic device interface and ADT configuration, monitoring, and testing
-

Handle incoming requests as received, prioritizing actions and evaluating time resources so that both customer needs and company deadlines are met.

Provide support both directly and indirectly to facilitate customer resolution for calls/tickets – engaging other team member(s) and departments as needed.

Isolate and recreate customer reported problems in various products.
-
Troubleshoot and document solutions to technical support issues.
-

Assist with product rollout including specification review, QA, and setup as needed.
-
Mentor non-technical team members in technical solutions as requested.
-
Work with others to ensure operational consistency.
Job Requirements
-
Two or more years in a professional services role preferred.
-
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient in SQL.
-
Relational Database Management Systems experience.
-
Familiarity and previous experience with PostGreSQL preferred.
-
Application Development / Programming background is helpful.
